On Wednesday, 5 June 2024, at .TEMU Café SCBD, students from various majors at UIC College gained new experiences and faced challenges in the retail world during the UIC Creative Sociopreneurship Showcase. This event served as a platform for students to apply academic theory to professional practice through real client projects, Inspiring the Future of Sustainable Retail: UIC Creative Sociopreneurship Showcase 2024
This year, .TEMU Café served as the main client, offering students the chance to work on challenging projects focused on sustainability. Additionally, other projects from BRI Ventures and NevertooLavish also provided guidance to students, helping students produce industry-accepted works. The showcase was particularly significant as final term students worked on their final projects for graduation from UIC College. These projects will be part of their portfolios as they prepare to complete their final year of university in the UK or Australia.
The collaboration between UIC College and .TEMU Café provided students with direct learning experiences from the industry. .TEMU Café, known for its sustainability approach, offered relevant and challenging real-world projects.
