Through her songs, Richelle inspired the audience to care more about their mental well-being and the well-being of those around them. “For me, this recital wasn’t just about showcasing technical abilities, but also about my artistic growth. Every note and composition tells my story. Music is my way of expressing what’s difficult to put into words, and I hope the audience feels that message through my performance,” said Richelle. “UIC College has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion and prove that dreams can come true with hard work and determination.” Guidance from Industry Experts Behind the success of these two young musicians is the guidance of Kang Irfas, one of UIC Music’s top lecturers. “Neilaw and Richelle are incredibly dedicated to music. - UIC College BSD: Company Visit PT. YKK Zipper Indonesia’s showroom
On Tuesday 16th July 2024, our fashion students from UIC College BSD recently had the incredible opportunity to tour PT. YKK Zipper Indonesia’s showroom, where they delved into the creative and engineering marvels behind zippers and high-tech fasteners. The tour introduced students to a variety of YKK’s products, providing a deep appreciation for the intricate production process that ensures high-quality standards. This visit was a testament to UIC College BSD’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and practical fashion degree. Our program emphasises hands-on experience in the industry, ensuring that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also understand its practical applications. The primary purpose of this visit was to give UIC fashion students hands-on experience and industry insights, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world applications. The final activity challenged our students to create a pocket using demonstrated zippers, requiring them to handle cutting and sewing to integrate the zipper perfectly into their design. This hands-on experience was both educational and inspiring, showcasing the blend of creativity and engineering that defines YKK's products, and equipping our students with practical skills and industry knowledge. Through opportunities like these, UIC College BSD prepares its students to excel in the competitive fashion industry with confidence and competence.
