Jakarta, June 29, 2024 – The Balai Resital Kertanegara came alive with soul-stirring melodies as UIC College of Music proudly presented the Trisvara Recital 2024. This event featured three unforgettable performances that epitomized musical artistry and emotional depth.
TRISVARA: Three Voices, One Stage
"TRISVARA," meaning "three voices" in Sanskrit, showcased three talented young musicians: Alicia Annabel Melvin, Theodora Shallom Marbun (Shall), and Nathanael Brilian Palka (Nial Palka). Each artist brought a unique theme, narrating tales of life, love, and dreams through captivating melodies.
Alicia Annabel Melvin: "The Resonance of the Dreams"
Alicia Annabel Melvin, raised in a classical piano environment, has traveled the world as a classical pianist. In her second recital at UIC College, Alicia presented "The Resonance of the Dreams," narrating the journey from learning piano to mastering the art. Her performance combined animated storytelling and captivating musical expression, creating a profound experience for the audience.
"This opportunity allows me to showcase my work and receive professional feedback. UIC College has been instrumental in providing this platform," said Alicia.
Theodora Shallom Marbun: "Take Time"
Theodora Shallom Marbun, known as Shall, performed her original songs in her final recital. Her theme, "Take Time," invited listeners to experience the emotional rollercoaster of love. Through a series of captivating songs, Shall highlighted that true relationships come from hard work.
"This recital is the ideal platform to introduce my music to a wider audience. UIC College has provided the perfect foundation for my education and skills development," said Shall.
Nathanael Brilian Palka: "Arunika"
Nathanael Brilian Palka, or Nial Palka, with his golden pop voice, presented "Arunika," emphasizing that deep, unconditional love is given freely without expectations.
"Performing on this grand stage is a dream come true. UIC College has given me the opportunity to pursue my passion and prove that dreams can come true with hard work," said Nial.
Expert Guidance and Support
The three musicians received mentorship from Kang Irfas, a top music lecturer at UIC Music BSD Campus. "Through this recital, they showcase their technical skills and bring stories to life through music," expressed Kang Irfas.
Aimee Sukesna, USG Education Head of BSD Campus, added, "UIC College provides a platform for our students to grow and shine. The 'TRISVARA' recital is one way we support and encourage our students to pursue their dreams."
